The Maynooth University Placement and Internships Virtual Fair is taking place on Wednesday October 13th from 11am to 3pm.
Open to all Maynooth University Students, this event will present top employers and their current placements, internships and short term work experience opportunities.
So whether you know what career path you want to follow or are considering your options, this Virtual Fair will give you an insight into the opportunities available to you as an MU student and provide you with an opportunity to connect.
What is a Virtual Fair?
A virtual fair is just like any other student fair, except it is hosted 100% online. It gives students the opportunity to meet with a wide variety of employers and is convenient as everyone can participate from any location.
Attending a virtual fair is easy, but does require a little bit of preparation. Prior to the day of the event students should create and complete a profile. We would also recommend seeing what sessions are available across the day and take note of the ones you don’t want to miss!
On the day of the fair students will have the opportunity to approach employer booths to initiate online chats. Students will also have the opportunity to browse various employer stalls to learn about internship and placement opportunities.
What can I expect during the event?
How can I prepare for a virtual recruitment fair?
1. The first step is to click 'Register' in order to get the most up-to-date information as well as reminders prior to the event.
2. Once registered, students are able to create a profile. We advise students to add as much information to the profile as possible, including uploading their CV. This will make it easier for employers to find students who match the skills they're looking for.
3. On the day of the event, simply log in from either a desktop, tablet or mobile phone and start exploring opportunities and meeting employers.
